Greg left Woody middle Ravey & Menace right

This iteration of The Woody Show began in San Francisco, however, the show’s story starts with Woody’s solo shifts on stations like KROCK in New York City. During that time he also worked at a station in Pittsburgh were he met fellow radio DJ, Ravey. Woody left for St. Louis and developed a popular afternoon drive show. The show later moved to Chicago and he brought on Ravey as co-host. Howard Stern announced his departure from terrestrial radio which opened up a number of morning show slots across the country. CBS Radio filled Howard’s spot with their syndicated shows for all stations except one, LIVE 105.3 in San Francisco. Woody took his afternoon drive show to mornings in San Francisco where he met LIVE 105.3 radio DJ/morning show producer, Greg Gory, and added him to the show. At the time, Menace, who had previously worked on a local morning show, started working at a station down the hall. He was later added to the show as well. Soon the show went top 3 in the market and gained a supportive cult following. After diverting from the station playlist for 30 seconds, The Woody Show was fired on April Fools Day 2009, despite being top rated. Greg and Menace stayed in San Francisco and worked at separate stations while Woody and Ravey took the show to St. Louis. Five years later, iHeartRadio Los Angeles called Woody and asked him to bring the show to ALT 98.7. He accepted and brought Greg Gory and Menace back on board to reunite the original members of the morning show. After a year and a half the show became #1 in Los Angeles, overtaking LIVE 105.3’s sister station, KROQ, and it’s heritage morning show, Kevin & Bean. The show’s success prompted iHeartRadio to launch The Woody Show into syndication with Premiere Networks.
